The Preparing for Baby program at Duke Health empowers expecting parents with practical and evidence-based education on pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Experienced labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn, and breastfeeding nurses lead every class, bringing real-world expertise into each session.
Most classes take place during the third trimester to help families feel confident and prepared for birth, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
The Healthy Pregnancy class, however, is designed for early pregnancy. This virtual class focuses on staying healthy, understanding what to expect during prenatal visits, and managing common discomforts of early pregnancy.
